Today is March 17, 2023. I am currently in Las Vegas until tomorrow March 18th in the afternoon. I am actually here to see Adele perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on her second to last weekend in her Weekends With Adele residency.
8:00 AM: Wake up and check my phone since I was staying in a hotel room with my great aunt and my parents were in a different room. I keep my phone in a constant state of DND so if I don't check it I will not know if anyone has contacted me or not.
8:15 AM: Go ahead and do my first notification check for socials, email, and any other apps that may send hidden notifications. I tend to not scroll first thing in the morning just based on the fact that sometimes seeing certain things can put me in a bad mood and that is never fun.
9:00 AM: Parents met us outside our hotel room and we headed down to go grab breakfast at the hotel and casino across the street from where we were. We were staying downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street in the Fremont Street Hotel.
9:30 AM: Arrived at Magnolias Cafe in the 4 Queens Hotel and Casino where we had a very fulfilling breakfast and coffee to keep us energized for the very long day ahead.
10:00 AM-12:30 PM: We had a long while before the show in the evening so we decided to go stroll Fremont Street and see what shops and restaurants were up and down the street. I ended up weighing myself at the Heart Attack Grill because I thought it would be funny then listened to some live music that performed for St Paddy Day. We ended up walking down to Fremont Street East which is where there are a lot more "normal" shopping stores and fewer of the souvenir shops that you usually just see on Fremont itself. There was a lot of really awesome art that was displayed as well throughout the street. There is a little shopping area that was actually made out of shipping containers and that was really cool to see, and then there was another motel down the street that was revamped and turned into a little shopping mall area with restaurants, an entertainment area, and a cute and yummy coffee shop called Mothership Coffee Roasters. I ended up buying some beautiful rainbow topaz earrings and a cute funky tee at a couple of the little shops inside. We then mozied our way back to our hotel to rest a little bit.

12:30 - 2:00 PM: Ended up taking a nap and resting because already had done so much walking and shopping that I needed to re-energize so I had enough energy for the actual show.
2:30 - 3:30 PM: Met back up with parents and we were hungry for Asian food. We ended up trying to go to the noodle place in our hotel but it was closed until 5 PM, ended up walking over to another hotel that looked promising but their noodle place was also closed. Ended up walking all the way down to the Circa hotel which is a 21-and-up hotel and also known for having one of the biggest sports betting books in the area and found a really neat Asian restaurant that was actually a tapas-based menu. We ended up getting short rib dumplings, brisket fried rice, ramen, butter mushrooms, pork belly bao, and finished off with a Thai tea creme brulee. While we were there I really wanted to check out the Stadium Swim which I have actually seen on social media through others but admission was $80 per person and it was not worth that price. I did come across this really awesome art installment that reminded me of home a little bit. We headed back to our hotel after to grab my great aunt from the slots to head up to the room to start getting ready for the night ahead.

This is what Stadium Swim looks like I screen-grabbed it from their website here.
3:30 - 5:00 PM: Started getting ready for the Adele Show. Ended up pulling up an Adele playlist on Spotify for my great-aunt who is 79 years old. She insisted we get ready for her by listening to her music which was cute. I ended up doing most of my makeup using my phone's camera because the lighting in the bathroom wasn't great so I propped it up on the window while I did what I could on a tiny screen. I ended up putting on my sparkly dress, and my neon green shiny cowboy boots and was ready for the night. As I waited for my phone to charge and for my parents to be ready, I was looking at my March Madness bracket to be stunned that Purdue had lost to FDU. I ended up reading this article from the New York Times on how this loss really ruined the majority of brackets out of 20 million that were made.
5:00 - 6:30 PM: We called a cab to take us from our hotel downtown to Caesars Palace where the show was taking place. Once we got to the hotel, we went to the Adele shop to get some merchandise before the crowd got there. They had so many cute items it was hard to choose what to get. I ended up getting a cream-colored crewneck that says "Hello It's Me" on it and a concert tee with her face on it and "Weekends With Adele." While we waited for the doors to open, my step mom and I ended up talking to a handful of people that were coming up to us to compliment our outfits while my dad and great-aunt did some gambling.
6:30-8:00 PM: Doors have opened, we headed to our seats, and grabbed some beverages and snacks while we waited. I ended up talking to a girl my age that actually went to the show by herself and we surprisingly found out we are going to the same Taylor Swift concert in July.
8:00-10:30 PM: Enjoyed the Adele Show. This was my second time seeing her live and this production was worth every dollar spent.

11:00 PM-12:00 AM: Took a taxi back to our hotel, took my makeup off, got ready for bed, and passed out since it was technically 2 AM back home.
It was a wonderful yet exhausting day. The whole weekend was great but it was constant and I didn't spend too much time on my phone browsing social media because I really tried to be in the moment with my family as much as possible for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I am truly thankful and glad I got to kick my birthday week off with this show.
Thank you for reading my 24-hour media diet even though it was a lot less media than a typical day in my life.
